Can we rethink the relationship of humans and plants by questioning the ethics of their cohabitation? Conceptual designer Minji Choi is a recent Design Academy alumnus. Learn more about her design and research project that explores how we – as human beings – perceive Nature and how to design by looking not only from the human point of view but from a new hybrid perspective. Join for a fresh perspective on nature, and learn a less anthropocentric vision of design.

Can emulating nature’s time-tested patterns and strategies lead to sustainable solutions to human challenges? According to Biomimicry – a new approach to innovation – it very well could. The goal is to create products, processes, and policies – new ways of living – that are well-adapted to life on earth over the long haul. Lydia Fraaije and Nadia Gellouli-Guachati, pioneers in this work field, want to inspire artists and designers to find their way into the world of biomimicry by sharing practical examples from their work.
