The human brain contains a specific system that works as a filter. The so-called Reticular Activating System (RAS) is a network of neurons that allows certain information to reach your brain while blocking the rest. In many ways RAS works like other natural filters, such as the outer membrane of our cells that allow the passage of certain constituents.
