Circularity at Scale:
From Niche Experiments to Systemic Change

How Can Tech & Design Collaborate to Scale into Impact?

What if the solutions to our greatest challenges already exist, but are still too small, too slow, or too fragmented to make real impact? How do we scale niche experiments into systemic change? And what does it take—technologically, creatively, and socially—to get there?

At this edition of the EHV Innovation Café, we’ll explore how bio-architecture, deconstructable materials, and cross-disciplinary innovation can pave the way for a future where design doesn’t just minimize harm, but actively restores ecosystems.

Special Guests
Meggy Smulders — Bio-Architecture Visionary
Reimagining interiors as living systems, using nature’s logic to create spaces that give back more than they take.

Jonathan Radetz — Circular Design Alchemist
Transforming waste into value, crafting deconstructable designs that redefine our relationship with materials and resources.

Expect sharp dialogues, bold insights, honest reflections and an open, welcoming conversation. Because at the EHV Innovation Café, the discussion is not the afterthought — it is the main act.

Whether you’re a founder, designer, technologist, policymaker, educator or curious do-er, this is your space to listen, learn and connect.

We are Inclusive by Default and Give to Grow.
Because the real shift is not controlling the flock, but learning how to move with it
Can we cut the crap — and make innovation an act of care?

Special Guests

Meggy Smulders

Sustainability Officer @ Gielissen | Bio-Architecture Visionary

Meggy Smulders is a pioneer in biobased interiors and sustainability strategies. At Gielissen, she leads projects that combine reuse, biobased materials, and social return on investment, aiming to create environments that deliver more value to society than they cost. With a background in sustainability calculations and systemic design, she challenges the status quo: “What if consuming more could actually contribute to a better world—if we produce fundamentally differently?” Her mission is to design healthy, regenerative spaces for all living beings on Earth.

Jonathan Radetz

Interdisciplinary Designer & Master Cabinet Maker | Circular Design Alchemist

Jonathan Radetz is an interdisciplinary designer whose work spans furniture, ceramics, and beyond, with a focus on circularity, social impact, and participation. His studio merges traditional craftsmanship with minimalist, geometric design, exploring how biobased and reused materials can redefine our relationship with resources. Projects like the Linum Tube—a fully deconstructable and recyclable design—demonstrate how circular design can be both practical and scalable. Jonathan’s work bridges disciplines, turning waste into value and theory into action.
