TU/e Team Casa – Energy Transition within the Built Environment
Team CASA, a student team from Eindhoven University of Technology, is committed to advancing the energy transition in the built environment. Their mission is to develop comfortable, affordable, and sustainable housing solutions. Currently, they are focused on testing bio-based materials in a groundbreaking project—a Living Lab. This fully functional house will serve as a real-world testing ground for bio-based materials, with continuous monitoring throughout its occupancy. By connecting students with industry partners, Team CASA drives innovative and eco-friendly building solutions forward.
Nieuw Zwanenburg – Growing Bio-Based Materials for Infrastructure
Nieuw Zwanenburg is a future-focused workshop where a collective collaborates on a shared social mission. At this independent creative space passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds work together with equal ownership. Their mission is to cultivate and develop bio-based building materials for application in infrastructure, respecting soil, water, and air, while also valuing residual streams. Located on a 17th-century farm in Oirschot, Nieuw Zwanenburg serves as a vibrant research lab and creative hub, bringing together entrepreneurs, educators, designers, governments, and local communities to drive positive societal change.
During the event they will share their expertise, vision and engage in a debate about our future challenges. Moderated by Anne Ligtenberg.
