Foundation We Are is an Eindhoven-based design collective that works on societal topics. The field of social design is growing and developing rapidly. It has been a long time since the days when design and designers have only been associated with making products. The amount of societal issues, which designers are proving to be able to contribute to, is growing steadily. This growing range of social design involvement shows time and time again the importance of a collective and engaged approach from all parties involved. In its practice, Foundation We Are strives to encourage and emphasize this approach. During this edition, Karen van Luttervelt gave insight into the foundation’s vision and methods via some examples of their work.
