Nanotechnology has enabled the rapid development of RNA therapeutics, including COVID-19 vaccines. in this presentation, Roy van der Meel discussed RNA therapeutics & vaccines: from code to cure. He obtained his PhD at Utrecht University and conducted postdoctoral research at the University Medical Center Utrecht and at the University of British Columbia. Roy is currently appointed Assistant Professor at the Eindhoven University of Technology’s Biomedical Engineering department where he heads the Precision Medicine group under direction of Willem Mulder. His research is focused on developing nanotherapeutics to regulate the immune response in a highly precise manner.
