Dutch Design Awards looks at how design relates to Dutch society in the broadest sense of the word: economically, socially, culturally and in terms of content. Large and small issues in and outside the Netherlands call for a new, relevant design approach and give rise to new dreams to pursue. DDA works with the broadest possible representation of the field. Tonight, we will elaborate on this proces.
Frederiek Dijkstra studied Language and Culture Studies Modern Art in Utrecht and Communication & Management for the Cultural Sector in Milan. Currently, she is responsible for the entire Dutch Design Awards programme. In it, Frederiek tries to keep the conversation about Dutch design ongoing and facilitates exchange between designers and curators, public and professionals, with openness and curiosity.
